Uno dei testi più belli che abbia mai scritto

Un arrangiamento essenziale e scarno, e che pur tuttavia rispecchia un'idea di suono che cercavo da anni, compreso un uso parsimonioso delle percussioni

Una struttura del tutto particolare, con ben quattro elementi distinti ed incisivi oltre alla strofa, che si sovrappongono tutti alla fine

Sfiorata la sezione aurea con l'ingresso del pianoforte...

Un equilibrio particolarmente riuscito tra monodia e polifonia: dopo quattro anni la canzone-madrigale trova la sua forma definitiva
